The 997.1 GT3 RS is regarded as one of the most engaging and authentic RennSport models ever produced. Developed with a clear motorsport focus, it is powered by the legendary Mezger 3.6-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a single-mass flywheel. This configuration delivers an immediate throttle response and a highly mechanical, unfiltered driving experience that defines the RS character.
The chassis is configured with a wider track, fully adjustable motorsport-derived suspension and reinforced components, complemented by RS-specific aerodynamics. Extensive weight-saving measures were applied throughout, including reduced sound insulation, lightweight interior elements, Carrera GT bucket seats and a polycarbonate rear window. Together, these features create a car that is exceptionally precise, focused and uncompromising in its intent.
This particular example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with Orange contrast, a rare and discreet specification for the 997.1 GT3 RS, with very few cars produced in this silver/orange combination. The factory configuration is especially desirable featuring a black roll cage, silver seatbelts, Sport Chrono and the CDR 24 radio.
The car remains in its original first paint, is accident-free, the ECU reading shows no over-revs in any range, retains its matching-numbers drivetrain and has covered just 27,976 km. The original brown protective wax is still present on the underbody, clearly illustrating the level of care and preservation throughout its life.
Delivered new in October 2007 for the German market and collected directly at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, the car was owned by a single German owner. It remained in Germany until its acquisition by a Spanish collector in 2024. Its provenance is exceptional, including the original purchase invoice and factory order, a complete maintenance history from new, Porsche Approved records from 2009 to 2013, and the original leather pouch with the service book and all owner’s manuals.
For collectors, investors and enthusiasts, this 997.1 GT3 RS represents a highly compelling proposition: produced in limited numbers over a short production period, a rare factory colour combination, outstanding originality, low mileage and exemplary documentation. As analogue RS models continue to gain recognition and availability diminishes, examples of this calibre are increasingly regarded as both emotionally rewarding and strategically sound long-term acquisitions.
